Another Griz Attack over the weekend
Tough situation, hope he recovers fully. I was wolf hunting about 2 weeks ago and called in a sow with 2yr old cub. Saw them coming across a dry lake bed at about 150yds and I instantly stopped calling, they continued my way to about 80yds and fortunately they drifted around the edge of the lake...- Jcs271

Great job on the wolf! Your observation about them flattening out is correct. I am not sure that they will do it as a defensive measure, but on multiple occasions I have observed a wolf crouch FLAT just like a cat when prey was approaching. Nice job and some beautiful open country. I sometimes get crazy with the thick timber up here. The longest shot on any of my wolves has been 45yds. Might be time for a road trip!- Jcs271
