Any way to access the Ocean Basemap? We are headed to Florida next week and renting a boat and peas planning on using that basemap. Now I can't find it. I've never needed it before now and now it's missing. LOL
I also picked up a Mossberg Patriot over the weekend. They had all their firearms 25% off at Gander Mountain's going out of business sale. Got a wood stock .243 for $329+tax. Also snagged some Leupold rings and a one-piece base for about $25 combined. Looking for a scope for it now. I'm anxious...
I'm trying to sort this out on my own but I'm hoping I can get some general advice from more experienced hunters. I have a 3rd rifle mule deer tag and will probably pick up an OTC elk tag.
There is one area in the units I drew a tag for that burned in 2012. I can't even tell by looking at the...
Thank you. That made it easier. Looks like there just hast been much fire activity in the area I'll be hunting.
There was one in 2012, is that too old to still be drawing elk in?
Thanks for the reply. Now I'm going to have to try to translate that to Okie because I have no idea what most of that means. LOL. I'll try to sort it out.
Anybody found a cheaper source for the pads? I've seen where people buy the Coughman's mosquito coils that have the same active ingredient but I haven't tried them. I have refilled the canisters though.
I'm trying to find wildfire information that goes back more than 1 year. Is there a way to do that on ArcGIS or InciWeb? I know the OnX app has it but looking for something a little more searchable or at least where I can filter it by area or year.
Any other websites I can check?
Thanks!!
Congrats guys. I struck out yet again this year. I'm going to try to get out there for OTC archery this year. I've said that for about 3 years now and yet to make it happen.
Wildlife was there long before he was and will be there long after he's gone. He's 63. As bad as it sounds they just have to put up with him another 20, maybe 30, years. LOL
I don't feel sorry for the grumpy old man. I'd happily swap him properties for my couple lots here in small-town...
While I agree it doesn't do EVERYTHING that a standalone GPS does, it does some of the things you mentioned.
Your can measure distances using markups, line....
You can view distance travelled if you turn on tracking....
Interesting. Are they insulated or non? I just ordered a pair of Lowa Tibets that are supposed to be here tomorrow but that deal is tempting.
Edit: Never mind. I just looked them up. 400 grams of ins. My feet get way too hot. Don't think they'd work for me.
Asking in a forum that is ALMOST entirely specific to public land hunters will get you answers based on the laws of said public lands. Just trying to help keep a fellow hunter out of legal trouble. No mention was made of private land in the original post or the follow-up post that implied "it's...
Ha, I feel your pain. I was looking at them this year also. I haven't even drawn a deer tag since 2011 I think. The elk and antelope odds are almost non-existent. But for a $5 app fee I apply every year. Somebody has to draw it. Maybe one day it'll be me.
