Longrange OK for some?
I would agree with John's assessment, but I'd emphasize one thing. The effective range changes significantly based on conditions. I shoot my rifle regularly at a range near my house out to 300 and 400 yards. At 300 yards, I can keep my bullets in a 4" circle and I feel very comfortable shooting...- Outdoor Junkie

Stinkin' Deer Heart
I agree with the folks that said fry it up. Slice it flat and then cut it in 3/4" squares and then dip it in flour mixed with salt and pepper. Fry in butter or olive oil. Shoot straight has it right. Hey Tim, I've never heard of this before. It's actually one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. How is it safe and legal to have a loaded pistol on your hip or under your seat ( legal with conceal and carry permit), but unsafe to have an unloaded firearm in a case. Staying motivated?
If it were me and it was that hot and dry, I would find what ever water holes you can find. If there literally is no water there, the deer won't be there either. They need to drink sooner or later. Wyoming Antelope Hunt- 6 for 6!
It's Wyoming.... there's more than enough antelope for eveyone :)! depending on what unit you are in, I might be able to tell you where the big boy was that we passed on, because we thought he was on private. He would have easily been the second biggest, behind my brothers.- Outdoor Junkie
