Here is another picture with my son between us. He really wanted to be in the picture as well . Also, here is the beginning stages of the European Mount of my buck. It was quite the morning!
A high quality headlamp would be a great gift. I have a Petzl and it's awesome. Every good hunter needs a good head lamp and a high quality one is $25-30.
I would agree with John's assessment, but I'd emphasize one thing. The effective range changes significantly based on conditions. I shoot my rifle regularly at a range near my house out to 300 and 400 yards. At 300 yards, I can keep my bullets in a 4" circle and I feel very comfortable shooting...

Congrats on the great Bull Buzz! Real men make their own luck and you definitely make your own luck! Nothing trumps experience, hours in the field and hard work. I will never forget what you did for my brother and I last January. You're one of the truly good guys in this world!
Congrats,
Chuck
I swear to God that Buzz could find elk in Minnesota. The guy seriously looks at a horizon and says.... The elk should be right there... And they are. Congrats on a down year.... Just think if you applied yourself ;)

If it were me and it was that hot and dry, I would find what ever water holes you can find. If there literally is no water there, the deer won't be there either. They need to drink sooner or later. If you find the water, you should find greener vegetation close by. Sit and wait.... They have to...
It's Wyoming.... there's more than enough antelope for eveyone :)! depending on what unit you are in, I might be able to tell you where the big boy was that we passed on, because we thought he was on private. He would have easily been the second biggest, behind my brothers.
