    300 AAC Blackout

    I wouldn't consider the 300 bo unless your going to run it suppressed. The 6.5 and 6.8 are great hunting round. You will find more parts and factory ammo for the 6.8.

    6.8 vs 7-30 vs 30-30 vs 35 in contender

    I would go for the 6.8. I've got a AR 6.8 that I love. Recoil is almost non existent. Lots of choices for factory ammo. Tons of reloading bullets, and reloading really opens up the cartridge as factory ammo is fairly anemic. Thar being said, factory ammo will still be fine on deer out to 300...

    My dad has a Remington 722 he killed his first deer with in 1970. I killed my first rifle deer with it in 1995. I've been looking for a "Bob" of my own for a while and recently picked up a 1982 Remington Classic.

    WY unit 42 or 34?

    Any suggestions between either of these two units? 42 has a couple of WIA's and a good bit of accessable public land, 34 has a ton of WIA's but not so much on public. My dad and I each have one point, and it looks like 42 can be had with the special draw, and 34 with the regular. Or...

    Two gun big game combo

    If I'm going the practical route, I would pick a Remington model 7 syn/ss, in 260, and a Tikka T3 300wsm. Since I like to have things that are a little different, my outside the box combo would be a Ruger #1 257 roberts, and a pre 64 winchester in 375 H&H.
