Turkey schnitzel. Check the MeatEater website for the recipe.
GF hasn’t liked a single wild turkey recipe I’ve made over the years and this year I made the schnitzel and she enjoyed it. Even made sure she ate the leftovers before I had a chance to get them.
I originally purchased a Metcalf but quickly realized it wasn’t for me so I bought the sawtooth as a day pack alternative. Plenty of room for all my gear and could fit my 2 man tent in it as well.
Personally I like the zipper open design better than the tradition bag style and will buy a...
I have an old Blaze Orange Gander Mountain suite that keeps me warm in less layers during gun season which is usually in the 20’s. Pretty disappointed that my $100 suite from 10 years ago out performs my First Lite gear that costs at least 6x as much.
That’s the best thing about the Marsupial.
I crawled all over Eastern Wyoming wearing mine and no dust issues and I don’t keep the caps on mine. The bino harness is perfect in every way. Phone sits perfect in the pocket on back side of harness and I keep my license in the front zipper pocket...

I’ll be putting my cameras back out later this week to see who survived gun season. I’ll leave them untouched until late February or early March.
I’ll put them back out in June and then check them once a month until October when I will pull them again.
These cameras are all on public.
I own but would go back to renting in a second if I found a place that could meet my requirements.

I picked it up before season and was real satisfied with how it worked out...
I am a newer hunter when it comes to big game. Killed my first deer in 2018 but he was pretty small so I just cut off his antlers. This year I got a much nicer buck and also an antelope and both are currently at the taxidermist for European mounts.

Loaded question I know, but I did some searching on the site and saw a few people say how much they love the Prana pants and found a pair for $39 so figured what the hell and bought them. WOW! What a great pair of pants. Bought a second pair after wearing the first.
Also saw some high praise...
So 90% of my spread is Higdon and they have held up great over the years. But I do keep all my full bodies in bags with socks covering the flocked heads. I’m sure that helps a lot.
This summer I picked up some used Tangled Free and a dozen of the Dakota fully flocked full bodies. Initial...
