Just goy back last night. I hunted with my
partner for 5 straight days. He was limited
to using a bow . A 7x7 was taken the first day
pretty close to the lake on a small island.
A nice bull, but short horns. We helped him
pack it out in the middle of the day. The second day some guy from...

Awesome elk, and the story was incredible.
I've been guilty of saying that Washington
elk hunting sucks, but I guess some guys
know how to get it done!! I'm leaving
tommorow to meet up with my friend Jack who
drew the Quinault bull hunt. I'll be with

Your either on a death wish, or you were
still hung over big time. Keep up that kinda
behavior out there and you'll be a permanent
part of the landscape! :D
ps Good story.
Oscar:
Good luck on the elk hunt. Looking forward
to the stories, or should we say lies. :D
You and Greenie hunting together, thats
funny. I'll be sure to put on the hip waders
when you post your story. :D
Have a good trip, and kill something BIG!
Kraven:
I've gotten a couple of bears. One is on the
den wall. I'm not into the meat that much,
so I'm kinda a retired bear hunter. If I
see one during deer and elk season, I'll blast
him, and give the meat away. Man, you've
got BEAR fever bad!!Persistance is always
your best bet, so keep up...
Kraven:
Buddy, you did well. No you didn't knock him
down this time, but I got a feeling your
not quite done bear hunting yet. You'll get
the bad boy soon enough. I've had my fair
share of those quality learning experiences!
:D
Mule:
Some nice country indeed. Sounds like your
ready to go. Be sure to carb up good before
the hunt, and drink lots of fluids when
climbing like a madman. Loooking forward to
your story!!!

The last time I was hunting elk in Idaho, it
was in unit 9 4 years ago. It took us 5 days to even find an elk, but we did get into
them. I had a decent opporunity at a 5 pt
bull, but couldn't get close enough before
it got dark. I've been to the unit 3 times
in the last 15 years. Give me...
Those are some nice pics. Congrats to you,
and especially your son. Thats gotta feel
great for him to get some mountain game
with ole Dad! I'm looking forward to taking some nice photos when I'm in the
Quinault with my buddy who drew the Oct
bull hunt. We agreed we'd put in seperate,
and if...
