Well there has been a bill introduced this year to make it illegal to kill black bear in Iowa now....
I have heard it claimed that the DNR introduced mt. lions here to reduce the deer herds for the insurance agencies.
I think their main angle with this is saying you can remove the charge when not in the field. You know, for "safety". Most people leave the load in their gun until fired or the season ends. If the gun is moved between warm and cold environments it can lead to condensation in the charge and a...
Saw it this morning. Not really interested myself. Don't like price and honestly doesn't seem much faster then I could load a preloaded charge anyway anyway. Open breech, insert tampon, close go back to end and stuff bullet. Think they think leaving one loaded over night is a problem.
Does...
I really wish we had some ice. I hunted deer up to the end but now I'm already bored. Actually happy the wife dumped a tile job on me for something to do. Hopefully we get safe ice soon.
Not really a quality issue more of a design issue. As a day pack works fine. Leaves something to be desired for meat or serious weight hauling. Fine starter pack if you can find a good deal. Not worth what I see them selling for at full retail IMO.
I have a BG 5 pin slider. Shoot out over 100 all the time. Never moved the sight while hunting. Haven't even used the bottom 2 pins hunting. Used to have a fixed 7 pin and used them all a time or two. I like to think I'm a better hunter now.
Well done on the butchering and post. That's one of the nicest set ups I've ever seen.
Only exception is I no longer debone fronts from a deer unless it's blood shot.
Given your location I don't expect you have a lot of options. I'd say it's time to track him down for a face to face. Hopefully you find him on a job and not at the bar. If you get the feeling he's not a total piece of dirt and is in fact putting you off to work for his regular GC's, which I...
As for the Ranger I'd say it depends where your going. One area we go to we like to have it just for the roads. A stock truck can handle them but it's a slow go and bumpy. The SXS gets along much quicker. Also can put 4 guys in one truck with a trailer for the trip and then split into groups...
I find two blade blood trail leaves something to be desired. Never really had an issue with a 3 blade that flys well. also never had issue with a quality mechanical.
