I'm not ignoring anything. I just no longer allow myself to be consumed by all this stuff. I'm just trying to make my way in the world.
Only so much that can be done until next election, not that I'm expecting much from our possible choices.
Funny, the older I get the more I realize life hasn't changed much since preschool.
Someone one is always getting something you're not. First time home buyer, cash for clunkers, PPP, Stimulus checks, this tax break, that tax break, the business owner that writes off all their toys. It goes on...
I tend to agree that they are not near as effective as they used to be and at times flare ducks. I often move them from the landing zone in the spread to inside cover where they're not always in view of working birds.
My family really loves our Kodiak Canvas tent and it would be great for a couple 3 guys in place of our wall tent. Yes it's bigger/heavier then anything nylon or whatever tents are made of but it solid. Don't remember exactly what model it is but its the cabin with screened in porch. Not...
Any recommendations for gear rental in the Fairbanks area? Primarily looking for a raft or packrafts.
As I began looking at what google could show me for rafts thoughts of other gear to consider renting vs. buying and flying or shipping up occurred. For instance it may be nice to have a tent...
Without a doubt. I have not shot a fixed that left a blood trail like a mech. Can't say I see much of a difference in time till death. Maybe some don't run/spook as far with a really clean pass through fixed. Penetration definitely better.
All kind of trade offs to be made in life.
As far as Rage I will say I have seen nothing but positive results. Those were all the original 2 and 3 blade design. Don't use anymore. What I will say bad about them is how easy a blade could get knocked out of place. Had it happen to me once and a buddy once. Both in stalking situations...
The interweb has not provided much help. Sounds like substantial trees for hanging a bag might not be an option. What do the experienced here do in that case?
I've been told by one old boy, a born and raised long time former AK resident that you need to keep your food in camp to "guard" it...
Sorry, I've been paying attention because I have a Vanguard I need to scope at some point and have been concerned about running into the very issue you're looking at.
I'm not a rifle guy so sorry if I'm missing something but it looks to me like Talley does offer low/extended rings according to...
Own 2 that I now rarely shoot, 9mm and .45, and don't need or want any more right now. I have a CC permit which I don't need any more but will maintain for out of state travel. Hardly ever carry on person because I work in IL but will have in truck or camp when traveling.
I am always...
My worthless opinion shared against my better judgement.
I supported going into Afghanistan not Iraq. We stayed to long. Glad we're finally getting out.
It was silly of anyone to think we could actually change that region or the people in it. Russia could'nt do it when they turned lose the...
Besides the first one I got when i was 15 still living in my parents house I've never had a problem Lab. That counter surfing SOB hate more birthday cake than me. I chalk his issues up to inexperience on my part.
Kennel and spot training from the start can prevent a lot of problems.
I will...
I just finished putting the blind on the boat.
I'm hoping that the drought might push more birds to work over to the Eastern side of the state (Iowa). On thing for sure is areas with water are going to be busy. We'll probably spend more time on the Mississippi and other interior rivers due...
If my bow's not in my hand it's way dark or my tag is filled. In those instances it's strapped to my pack if I'm out West or my mobile stand if I'm going way into public at home.
Finally saw my first Grizzly, sow with cubs, 2 weeks ago in YNP. Heading back to Madison camp ground from Gardiner. Came around the bend to a pile of cars jamming up the road near sheepeater cliffs. People were out of their cars and I figured it was another Bison. 30-40 yards from the road...
