    Wisconsin Orange Army

Good luck to all my Wisconsinites for rifle season. I am headed to the northwoods (rusk county) this afternoon and can't wait for Saturday morning. Good friends, good hunting weather, good food and drinks, and lots of time watching squirrels and remembering all the good times hunting/fishing...

    sleep aids

I started using trazodone a few years back. Absolutely changed my life for the better. I've only had a few times since then of staring at my clock wondering why I'm still awake.

Wisconsin proposes a 300 quota on wolf tags

Our wolf hunt sure is a fun topic with absolute polar opposites depending who you talk to. (general statement alert) - talk to people down south (Madison/Milwakee urban) and there are only 100 wolves left in the state and they are going to be wiped out. Talk to someone who lives above hwy 8...

not a Cowboys fan at all (Go Pack Go), but Dak is a stud. Anyone who doesn't understand that he is, doesn't watch him play, and definitely didn't watch him play last year before he got messed up.

NCAA allows athletes to monetize name

I'm not sure what amateur means when you are talking about college sports. Nobody is a amatuer, that is a made up thing by the NCAA who make MILLIONS off of college kids. NCAA exploits kids for cash, I don't know how anyone can see it differently.

I hope Stafford does great this year. I think the guy is pretty decent, just played for a crappy franchise. It will be a great story if he does.

    Colorado OTC Merriams Spring

Colorado has great OTC spring and fall hunting. If you can hunt on weekdays, and not on the front range, you won't see anyone else either

I'm not buying points for Colorado anymore, tell me I'm wrong.

I don't think there is a lot of difference between 1 point and 12(or so) for quality of hunt for elk. Deer I could bump up that number some, but not a whole lot.

    A high fence turkey hunt

When I lived in Colorado, we had a 100 foot or so cottonwood tree that turkeys would roost in alot during the Winter. This weekend while driving back from grocery shopping a turkey hen flew 50 feet over us, over a divided highway. My wife couldn't believe turkeys could fly like that, even...

Lifetime hunting ban for another poacher in Colorado

what a D bag. I'm not law professor, but I don't get the lifetime ban thing. He is already a poacher, not like he needed a license to do his killing, and a lifetime ban doesn't give any incentive for him to get his chit together.

    Trimming nails

2 stories, right before I moved from Colorado, I saw a facebook ad for a girl starting out a mobile dog nail trim for $7. I have 2 dogs that whine and cry like we are breaking their feet. So this young lady comes over, sits with them for 5 or so minutes and clips both of thier nails, they...

    We ate the wolf......Yummmm!

I used my sous vide on a prized whitetail backstrap last summer, completely turned it into a "mush" consistancy (lower temp though). I would guess that a pressure cooker would help out, but have no idea what amount of time would be required to pasteurize
