7.5" to 12.5" has been the normal range on my catch this year. It seems to be averaging just over 10" this year.
A few over 13" has been a surprising exception.

I set a tip-up for perch. I got to the tip-up and started feeling the line for a fish. I feel the perch and suddenly it feels heavier. I let it take line for about 30 seconds with out pulling tension on it. The line starts moving again so start retrieving it again. It sure...

I'm sure they make better shooters out of a lot of people for hunting.
You should go back and check out more of her posts over a long time on this forum. I think you would find that she is the total opposite of what you are thinking of her. It might cool things down for you.
