the points game is a total SCAM! they draw you in and then you can't get out. Colorado just changed their game big time with their new point fees for sheep. MT even with max points you have 1% chance at best. WY is just like CO horrible odds and they keep adding costs. NM is horrid draw...
No they don’t. If you do the math many of the states draws as way worse odds and end up costing more than buying lots of raffle tickets for these types of limited ticket raffles.
Here is an opportunity to win a stone sheep hunt. $100/ ticket. With only 500 sold! Best odds I know of!! Proceeds go to Idaho wild sheep foundation.

I had sheep fever before I got my Dall! LOL even more so now. Yes I am dreaming of the Desert Bighorn and Stone Sheep but near future....no. I apply in a few states for Desert BH and buy raffle tickets for both Stone and Deserts in hopes of hitting the jackpot! my true goal is the...
I've hunted sheep twice. Dall guided and DIY rocky mountain bighorn in Idaho as a resident so the odds were MUCH better. I drew the tag the year I go married so balancing a wedding, new wife, and OIL hunt was interesting. My wife was very understanding and even scouted with me a couple...

so did they end up changing the rules? I'm seeing you guys say 1 sow and 10 tags. I thought it was 12 tags and no more than 2 sows? if its 1 sow then I'd be shocked if mangelson ever gets to pick up his tag.
Resurrecting this thread. looks like plans have changed significantly. its looking like with my buddy moving I'm going to be doing blacktail solo. I've opted to go to Oregon and look for a dark horned buck. I'm leaning towards SW Oregon. I'm thinking of taking a nice base camp with wood...
How does 1:300 chance at a fully guided Mexico Desert Bighorn hunt sound? The Wild Sheep Foundation is raffling off 300 tickets for $250 a piece. Can’t beat those odds anywhere. That may sound steep for a raffle ticket. But we pay almost that much to apply in NV or AZ with licenses and app fees...
