With the legislation in draft form for switching to a bonus points system for moose and sheep in Wyoming, does anyone know what happens to current preference points? Do they switch to bonus points or are they use it or lose it in the next four years?
I run these in my 12 and 20 gauge, shot no. 5.

Pushing double digits on roosters for the year, no lost birds and no complaints.
One of my best friends moved from Montana to go to school in Wyoming. That was 12 years ago, he always bitched about how Wyoming seasons are so short, "In Montana we can hunt for two months straight on a General".
Sure, but in a week of General season we can see and get on more elk than you...
gotta echo was @jryoung said. Spapcocked, brined for 24 hours, peel the skin back off the meat and stuff with garlic butter spice blend, throw that bad boy on the smoker at 225 for several hours. I've never complained about turkey.
I despise ATVs, they can be useful but 90% of the time they ruin a hunt area for others. Last weekend we were hunting late season cow tags, I took Friday off to do some scouting. Found a herd of 200 elk way up on a mesa, 3 miles from the nearest trailhead. We got there early Saturday morning...
It doesn't, if I'm remembering his comment in context correctly from Friday, he was alluding to funding for WGFD for things like access programs, roadway over passes, fencing, biological studies etc.
I'm in support of regulations like this. I think overall it would help reduce wounding mortality. I do wonder how effective it would be, especially with the further commoditization of our wildlife, an elk tag in Wyoming is likely going to cost non-residents upwards of $2000. How many guys...
Any other Wyoming fans heartbroken? So freaking close to the upset, just a YOLO into double coverage when you're within field goal range of tying it up. It's been a wild season Cowboys, powder river, let'r buck!
My buddies old man used to tell us stories from the 70/80s about stuff like this. Alot of his stories were amazing back country experiences off horseback, with big elk herds. Some were super sad and sounded way too outlandish to believe it was true. I guess some people just throw fair chase...
My buddies mom part time bar tends down at the Big Sky occasionally, they like to serve them tall and cold. And they do know how to raise some mighty fine heifers in Powder River County...
If it's only a quarter section that's only a maximum of ~900 yards (assuming I did my math right). Any noob with a bright new shiny Gunwerks rifle can make that shot! Especially with 29 follow up rounds!
Question, can a guy simply drive across State lines to Idaho and purchase a full mag. firearm there and then bring it back to Oregon? Or does the new law prohibit the owning of higher capacity magazines period?
