I picked up an antelope doe tag to go with my regular draw general deer tag. Not a lot of public in the unit I drew but last time I hunted it sight unseen I had a doe down on public 4 hours after setting foot on the unit. I love antelope meat! At worst I'm not eating an expensive tag.
My most consistently accurate rifle is my 8mm Rem mag shooting 200 grain partitions. It doesn't have a brake so it must be shot with a firm grip from the bench but it still consistently prints 1/2" or less groups from 100 yards. The two groups pictured were shot on the same day from 200 and 500...
Winchester couldn't realistically build new .270 WSMs with faster twists and offer higher B.C. ammo. Bubba would be pissed when his beloved WSM wouldn't shoot the new fangled sleek bullets. This was the only practical way to get the .277" diameter into the high B.C. world. I won't be buying one...
