First quarter was on fire. Looked for a little bit we were all in for a barn burner of a game..but Iowa couldn't sustain the super-hot start. Too much size and shooting from the Gamecocks. SC freshmen were impressive.
Good game though.
Meh. Lots of people love a good conspiracy theory.
Quite a few great basketball minds get paid to create controversy and conversation.
They probably think Jordan pushed off too...;)
Several fouls on UConn were intentional as they played from behind late in the 4th. So, foul count disparity not as big as stats show. Also, Iowa (particularly Stulke) made concerted effort to drive at UConn and drew a lot of fouls...and UConn played great defensive pressure but that does come...
Didn't exactly get the Clark vs Bueckers show everyone was hoping for...but at least a competitive game.
Hope the title game is competitive too, gonna take a much better game from Iowa though. Fewer turnovers, better shooting bc they'll certainly get outrebounded by a mile.
I mean, I know this is hunttalk and all, but let's not take a perfectly good thread about basketball and run it into a(nother) political ditch...please?
Let's all take a cue from Jordan...the GOAT!

Iowa's 94-87 victory over LSU in the Elite Eight of the women's NCAA tournament Monday night averaged 12.3 million viewers on ESPN, according to Nielsen.
Iowa-LSU outdrew...
I've always disliked that the NBA outlaws team defense. That's ONE way of ensuring the lane stays open . It's by definition (and rule) a different game than any basketball any of us ever played.
I also agree with the observed lack of defensive effort in NBA regular season games...but then...
Wish I'd gotten to see pistol play, but he was before my time. Highlights are phenomenal though.
These days, I'd much rather watch Iowa v UConn women play than any NBA game.
