    Dad Joke thread

A guy is driving around in the mountains and he sees a sign in front of a broken-down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale'. He rings the bell, and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice-looking Labrador retriever sitting...

    Weekend Libations

Fair question...and, no. Not sure why id say that...For whatever reason I remember it as being more hop-forward than it probably really is...and hoppy beer tends to give me an instant headache these days. Maybe I need to give it another shot. I AM, however, correct that the brewery tour at...

    Weekend Libations

Have you been to the New Glarus brewery? Well worth the time if you're in the area. I took a customer there for the tour a while back...reminds me I should do that again sometime. I'm actually not huge on Spotted Cow..IPAs typically just aren't my thing. Their Wisconsin Belgian...

Grand Canyon & Sedona Family Trip

Last year I got some great tips from HT for our family vacation to RMNP. This spring break (mid-March) I'm planning to take the family to Sedona and Grand Canyon. My kids are 8 and 10, so I'm not sure hiking all the way down to Phantom Ranch and back are in the cards this go round, but we...

    Hunting mittens

If youre gonna go mittens, Leather w wool inserts are great for keeping hands warm Ive found the best thing for stand hunting, though, is a fleece hand muff with a hand warmer or two inside...can wear light gloves or no gloves at all and hands will be plenty warm.

    Gratuitous Bird and Dog Photos

Public land roosters in SE IA are hard to come by, and today was no exception. Hiked a ton, got the truck stuck and then unstuck, and had an all-around good time though.

WY 2024 App Booklet is up

anyone have a link to the proposed general elk regions? The map I'm seeing online still shows all the 2023 units and I don't see any general regions. contemplating cashing in my 9PP in 2024, either on a LE draw or combining with a couple other guys for general licenses...

    This

Nice work, looks like a helluva project that turned out well. Glad you're back. Starting a similar project in our basement, thought I sensed some similar side-eye from the guy at Menards when I rolled up with my Jon boat utility trailer to pick up 16' LVL beams this afternoon...
