I have stood 10 foot from a 2 year muley buck near Carter Montana who was slowly doing circles and was oblivious to my presence. Standing in middle of a gravel road. I watched herds in Missouri be decimated by CWD and EHD. Not sure what these idiots think is killing all of those deer but they...
I had to stop and read this posting as the title totally caught my attention...I use to live in Tightwad, Missouri and my family always said that was where I belonged :ROFLMAO:
Found a great spot out of the wind with lots of sign. The first route in was nasty and made too much noise but seen a couple of really nice whitetail bucks. They are in here just had to find a quieter route in for next time and yes I took my bow for a walk.
Be just like back in Missouri...never made a shot with a rifle further then 40 yds and most bow shots were under 15 yds. They don't call us Bushwackers for nothing...lol

My wife doesn't like deer meat only elk meat so it's no longer about filling the freezer except for me and our son. it's not even about that kill at the end. I find the purity of hunting with a stick and string to what pleases my soul the most and I leave the mountains feeling centered again. No...
Thats why I prefer traditional. I enjoy most of all the DIY traditional hunter videos most with the guys that are ecstatic about the little whitetail doe they just smoked at 15 yards.
Anyone else out there reached that point in their hunting lives that they no longer want to walk out the door with a rifle slung over their shoulder? I am that hunter that watches every hunting video he can and once upon a time it was all of them. However, now I only watch the bowhunting ones...
