You nailed it! This state is full of chickenshit Kool-aid drinkers!
99% probably still think CPW is broke and doing a great job with what pennies they receive so don't rock the boat! Just accept this is as good as its ever gonna be.
Nobody ever looks outside the state and see's how much...
I'm indifferent to it.
The states are the ones that make landowner tags. GoHunt is doing what a business does and trying to make money. I personally would love to see OnX, gohunt, optics stronger than 12X, range finders, long range shooting fad, etc go away and for folks to start hunting...
Just go OTC like Colorado.
All the money the DNR would take in could fix your dams and fish hatcheries! You could put a search and rescue fee on every license, but never worry about Hunters getting lost thanks to the additional hunters everywhere. Landowners would make more money due to...
Anyone else shoot a Nosler rifle? I shoot the M48 Liberty in 30/06 but have yet to come across anyone else who hunts with one.
just curious who else is out there
I do attend meetings, when they are in the Springs. But I'm guilty of growing very apathetic to Colorado and am looking at just hunting other states. Colorado tags are just something to do tags. Last year I hunted Wyoming, this year is Kansas. I'm just getting to where I don't care what Colorado...
Kinda hard to justify taking a full day off from work, to drive 5 hours away to speak for 3 minutes
All Commission meetings should be held either in Denver at CPW HQ or Castle Rock which is just about dead center in the state, and during times that are convenient for regular working people.
Feeling very vindicated for my opposition to the Future Generations Act right now, but it doesn't feel all that good.
Still cant wrap my head around all resident hunters that supported and went and testified in support of this blank check bill for CPW asking absolutely nothing in return...
Not trying to ruin your hopes & dreams, but CPW has declared war on the NW deer herds. Number of deer is way lower than it was just a few years ago. And they increased tag numbers at the same time in the name of controlling CWD
If Wyoming prices you out, let not your heart be troubled, Colorado is more than willing to sell you a tag for less than half the price. Only downside will be 100X more people to share the experience with
Sheridan would be my first choice followed by Casper. But Cheyenne will do.
The three hours away from the family is what wins the battle for location. Wife would pick Thermopolis if she could go anywhere and family wasn't an issue
So what your saying is no change from my current situation? Lost three cars and three roofs in the last 7 years to hail. Other than being a little windier than Colorado Springs, weather appears to be similar. One of the reasons why we've settled on Cheyenne. That and less than 3...
Thanks guys. Been to Cheyenne numerous times, but visiting and living are two different things. Wife and I use the VA for most healthcare needs. Wyoming would give us free Disabled Veteran plates for our vehicles it appears with me being 100% rated and wife is 90%. Property tax exemption after 3...
For the good folks that live in Cheyenne, what would your pro's / cons be of living there? Wife and I are wanting out of Colorado but still be reasonably close to family (under 3 hours from Colorado Springs).
I know someone will say wind, but I have plenty of that here too. My pickup just...
