As pointed out by someone earlier, there are other options than the NRA. GOA might even be more aggressive than the NRA, without the corruption and issues (that I know of).
I had forgotten that Gura was heavily involved in McDonald too. And that the NRA messed with that as well:

I wouldn't base expectations on the drumming survey, especially this year's results. Likely well worth heading after them though. Weather's been better since the big rains, and my sources tell me access has been restored most everywhere there was damage
Sounds like a training problem to me. Raised two with my kids, great family dogs. Prototypical pheasant dog for the OP too, but they are truly versatile. Not ideal for very cold water work but they are stronger swimmers than labs at the same size.
Velcro skid plate designs sized appropriately have worked to a point for me. But if snow is deeper they let some in up against the belly. I've seen a tough as nails dog not like that one bit.
Me too, right after Oklahoma City and their response. Then if I had any inkling of interest again their refusal to support the Heller case killed it ...there is a video of the lead lawyer for that one ..Alan Gura...talking about that on YouTube.
This latest is nothing new either. Corruption...
But that goes to my point--wouldn't synthetic fray like cables get damaged? That protective sleeve is in place to prevent that, right (not sure, just asking). So take that sleeve off and what then?
My cable is fine but only used it for plowing for three years now and last year I only had to...
I get that synthetics would last longer and are lighter--what I don't get is why synthetics wouldn't fray under the same use that causes wire to start splintering, and why less weight is an issue?
My 500 sportsman is almost exclusively used for snow plowing. I'm not much of a fan of riding...
Comrade Putin agrees...;)
At least it takes away the issues of some country's supporting their athletes with resources that essentially had them being professionals, going up against amateurs from countries whose professional leagues would clean up in the olympics.
Best thing is the support...
Good advice, the only thing I would add is be sure to use ear protection, want to eliminate any chance of the sound being an issue. I wouldn't push her to do well if she doesn't have the right gun for eye dominance. I know some older guys that when starting shooting struggled with that then...
They are a lot less dangerous than griz. On the rare occasions when one actually attacks--usually in very wild situations--not near human habitation--their intent is much more likely to be to kill you for food. Play dead with Griz, fight like h#ll if a black bear attacks you--is the usual...
Hate these days. In it for the long haul but still bothersome for someone not into the roulette wheel that individual stocks are and with most of their money in retirement plans.
I can't speak to the situation everywhere, but when push comes to shove loggers often won't do the job needed.
They'll cut what they want...high grade the best wood...and leave enough behind the area is still a fire risk.
I don't always blame them for thst...getting enough removed and doing...
Firefighting may be more expensive than you think. 12 million wouldn't pay for 1/2 of a new CL215. Could get a couple of Firebosses though.
Wildlife aerial work is not cheap, and very dangerous. Probably better to compare the cost of the best hotshot crew with full aerial support. Not sure...
We never lost them and our population has been around 3000 for some years now despite lack of hunting it hasn't grown more.
Ag folks have lived with them for decades. We do have aggressive depredation program folks. They kill a fair number each year, through trapping after verification of...
