You could try www.redoakoutfitters.com, but they are in Oklahoma. I considered this as an option for my way to the Bighorns this fall. I ruled it out since I pretty much have what I need.
Did anyone else notice this at the bottom of their CPW email:
"New for 2022, successful applicants can surrender their drawn license for a refund of the license fee and restoration of their preference points to the pre-draw level."
This should result in an increase in the number of tags...
Randy and Corey had an ElkTalk podcast with a representative of KY Fish and Wildlife recently; Episode 88. While it is a high-level overview of elk hunting in KY, it does have a few hidden nuggets of information that can get you started. They do talk about unit characteristics and what to look...
My son is a senior in high school and we joined his points with two guys who kept missing Area 7 by a point. Went into the draw with an '8' average for our party of 3 and were successful. We are so stoked!
Sorry, no help here, but man what a nice draw! You obviously know what kind of opportunity you are getting into. Good luck in your preparation and have fun!
From the little I've seen of your taxidermy skills, I assume you considered the alternative of boiling the heads on your own and then shipping them.
So why didn't you do it yourself after the headache of the first trip?
Y'all need to listen to BuzzH. He does a great job of separating the informational chaff from the wheat. Even if he called your idea dumb, I'm glad you voiced it, because he takes the time to explain why it doesn't work.
If you still think your idea works, then explain why it should work.
I watched a podcast that addresses GoHunt's recent caribou hunt that I linked above. In it, they describe the details of logistics, access, packing, bears, regulations, etc. The video podcast is here:
In that podcast, they discussed camping out on the tundra where there are no trees around to...
I've seen those too. I'm in a group that talks about tipi tents and the collective masses who order from Luxe eventually do get the product. They are extremely slow and customer service is not the best.
When you upgrade to the SO product, you pay for both service and product. SO's fabric...
I'd like to respond (not critically, but appreciatively and constructively) to both comments above. Also to an earlier one that was comically deprecative regarding financial advice on a hunting forum.
This place on the web is a nice sweet spot with a high percentage of hunters who've excelled...
Good question.. I'm asking the same thing in the comments below the GoHunt video for a recent caribou hunt:

Prayers for you, your son, wife, and family sent. Asked God for wisdom given to your doctors and wisdom for you all to make good decisions regarding his outcome. Thanks for taking a leap and sharing your personal struggle; while it is a sad time, I am hopeful and even more grateful for this...
Corey and Randy recently did another interview with a Sitka Gear rep, except it was John Barklow. Barklow was with the Navy for 26 years and taught survival in Alaska during that tenure. Many of the tweaks discussed on this thread were addressed in that podcast as they addressed possible...
Initially, I suspected Fred will want to sell his ranch after this result or after the Fall of 2022. Yet, my guess is he will finance the right lobbyists to change the rules a little, then sell it once he knows he can have better control over the access to the public parcels.
Hunt it while you...
