Based on your description ("won and it's on appeal") think that's slightly (in light of the age of this case) old news. What Meateater episode was it? I'm going through and watching them all again.
Here's the result of the appeal that the County won; dated March 6, 2023...
Those are some very coherent and reasonable points by the plaintiffs. However, the last paragraph of the article seems patently false:
There are other and ongoing ways to ensure access to public land, Iron Bar lawyers argued, saying the solution should be in the hands of politically accountable...
I believe said 3 miles after chasing the herd. Nice job on improvising your 'chase' of the herd by thinking about what they might be going to. Checked your map and found a spring.
Nice write-up and great bull!
Make sure you don't call Fred "A piece of sh!t" or anything like that.

Nice bull! Thank you for sharing.
I love the dark mane and antlers. Are Alaskan Roosevelt's different from Oregon Roosevelt's? I've only seen this one from OR, so my observation is purely anecdotal.
Does the OR Roosevelt have longer, thinner beams while the AK's have shorter, thicker beams...
I've seen a few "abandoned road" camps and parking spots on Facebook.
These spots never belong to the guy posting and that guy is never in a good mood.
Wind/smell and movement are your most important variables.
For those who want to buy the coolest camo, they could conclude that a Hulk Hogan costume works:
Yeah, I really thought the western region would have excluded the Bighorns with that big desert that helps keep the grizzlies away.
Then there's the special tag cost increase which should spike the regular, General tags.
I'm considering a slingshot rifle. Trying to make one that's light and reliable, but I'm not the greatest craftsman. If that doesn't work, I will go with a hand @#)(# air rifle. The CO2 cartridges don't do too well at elevation, so you have to @#)(# it.
I heard a podcast from Corey and Randy...
My question going into this is does this mean that we have to use a corner crossing ladder to get from parcel to parcel? According to Semerad's review, corner crossers must do so without touching the private land or damaging it:
So with the three regions in 2024, [500 (East), 1050 (South), and 2775 (West)] do you all think these numbers will move the needle either way for point creep?
It seems like it wouldn't since the proposed quotas reflect a pattern of previous season hunter density.
The cross-throughs and question marks are confusing me. Maybe it's the bourbon, but anyway, are these the tags you won? Are the question marks the pending results of the hunt?

Arizona publishes the ages of point holders. If we transfer this rough ratio to WGF, the majority of babyboomer point-holders will drop out of the WGF point scheme in about 4 years if they don't burn them.
What considerations is WGF making in light of decreasing the odds for NRs?
I read how...
"The Department had it wayyyyy more correct with the 13 regions, and then pivoted to 3 at the request of the outfitters, making the whole idea complete trash."
Like @BuzzH, I agree that the three-region General Tag for Elk is bad for game management.
So, how does this benefit the outfitters...
I'm not very good at searching the WGF website, but when will we know if they are switching to 13, 3 or one region? Has this been finalized for 2024 yet?
Did he get to keep the meat or hide? What do they do with the animal when the WGF confiscates them or has to put down problem grizzlies?
The comments quoted in that second article are so bizarre. Still baffled at how people can make such strange, great, false assumptions.
