Fair enough. As previously stated it's not my intention to turn this into an argument. I'd pose that saying it's "totally off topic" is also incorrect though, what with the president's name/administration in the title. Why is it that we've gotten so independent, isolated and fearful that we...
Curious sytes, your signature makes you appear quite conservative/libertarian. Why didn't you vote for this pres, and who did you vote for, if you don't mind my asking? To all others: please understand i don't intend to make this political, just wondering because the major party alternative to...
First i've heard of it. The indians always claim sovereignty when it comes to land, gambling laws or speed traps. ...They never seem to want to use those funds to pay for schools, roads, fire protection or utilities.
Funny, that.
Don't limit yourself to only a few brands. Hunting-specific backpacks have gotten to be very good in the past few years, but in my opinion they're still playing catch-up to the well established backpacking brands. Buy what fits your body and test it loaded. Don't buy a pack just because it...
I don't like a mask because i'm always paranoid something is going to get into my string. I'll usually just grab a handful of dirt to wipe my face with. Takes the shine off without the greasiness and cleanup of paint.
I also don't like to make eye contact, but instead focus near the animal...
Take a white T-shirt and wave it over your head like a french soldier. They'll come right in. Your wife should, as others have mentioned, be hidden downwind on the arc.
No good reason, just curious about them. I know they take some time to get used to, so even if i picked one up i'd still hunt wrist this fall. I'm also switching from righty to lefty to match my dominant eye and figure if i'm learning new habits and muscle memory it may be a good time to try...
I bought a bear tag once when a buddy held an elk tag. The plan was to kill the elk and hunt over the gut pile. Problem is, the elk was killed on day three and it took us two days to pack him out. Even if i had seen/shot a bear there's no way we had the strength and endurance to get them both...
Hello all-
I'm currently shooting a wrist release with a 28.5" draw. I'm thinking of trying thumb and tension releases and wondering if my draw length will change. On other forums i'm reading that the draw length doesn't change but the anchor point does. I'm currently anchored with my index...
Correct. I've exported the waypoint file to my desktop and want to "attach files" inside a PM. It won't let me do that.
Texting or emailing is difficult when you don't know a persons phone or email. Yeah i could ask but it just seems unnecessary.
Gohunt is a valuable resource, but i'd recommend a combination of onx and elk101.com instead. I'd think you could find all the info gohunt offers by asking around. (Also if you wait until June you can probably get a month of gohunt for free.)
Hi all-
I recently tried to send an onx waypoint file to a fellow hunter via PM. When i tried to attach the file the extension (*.kml) was not supported for upload. Is this a known issue and if so, can it be changed? Did i do something wrong?
Thanks

Can you share where your general area is going to be? The Pecos is pretty big and has everything from high alpine to full canopy forest. The weather could be blinding snow or some of the prettiest days you've ever seen, but guaranteed it will be freezing at night. Most hikers have...
As a bowhunter who has been on about a half dozen hunts in this unit (although not always behind the trigger), i'd say pack the rifle. Do you know the unit well? I can suggest a couple of places i've consistently seen shooter deer if you're not already set on a location.
