I would gladly navigate through Arizona's website to get another elk tag.

    What's on the smoker today?

I still consider myself a smoking newb as I've only been doing it for a year or so. I picked up a worn out smoker on craigslist for $20 and started experimenting different methods. So far so good. Not sure what muscle group off of my 2021 Kansas buck I smoked a couple days ago but man it turned...

    1st "cold blind" for Rex

Rex is 11 months old today. I finished up T-drill awhile back and have been working on bird boy blinds/pattern blinds. Also have been working on casting drills in water and "swim by". I felt pups confidence was strong enough to introduce him to cold blinds on land. I took him out today and hid 3...

Anyone have more information on this?

He was arrested for "stealing" a government camera on his own property. Another example of bully government and government overreach, all the way from trespassing his private property, hanging a trail camera without permission and not even communicating with him about it, arresting him for...

    Blood tracking dog

In my opinion the bloodhounds nose is superior. Bloodhounds have over 300 million olfactory sensors which is more than all other breeds. However bloodhounds are higher maintenance dogs. They eat more , poop more, take up more room, and are harder to handle. No doubt other breeds make great...

    Elk Stolen in Billings

I think it was 3 years ago my family and I were traveling back home and stopped late one night in Billings at a cheap motel for the night. We checked in around 1:00 am. I was so tired I fell asleep quickly. Soon after my wife whispers to wake me up. There was what seemed like a very thin wall...

    Blood tracking dog

Two years ago I shot a bear just before dark. Couldn't find it that night. Next day a gal brought her bloodhound to help me. Bloodhound made short work of the 300-400 yard track. I decided that day I was getting a pup. I have lost deer in the past and I hate that feeling. I got Nancy (after...

    Arkansas/Oklahoma Fall Bear

Mission accomplished! I was fortunate to fill my Oklahoma resident bear tag on opening day. Between Arkansas and Oklahoma I have been baiting for about the last 5 weeks. Finally opening day arrived in Oklahoma. I have two active baits. Both baits were being hit hard in daylight all week leading...

    2022 Wyoming Bull Bison

Congratulations on an iconic animal! Your taxidermist is going to have his work cut out for him if he's doing a shoulder mount. Trust me I know, I have mounted one.

    Arkansas/Oklahoma Fall Bear

Hope I didn't make a mistake by not trying to kill this smallish bear that came in this morning on opening day. Really wanting to get a bear with traditional archery but was hoping for something bigger. This bear came to my tree and stood up on its back feet to get a better look at me. Then...

    Grandson does it again

All American boy right there! (Young man) From the Bass Pro cap, hoodie, blue jeans with dirt on the knees, all the way down to the boots! My son had the same pair of boots a year or so ago I believe. Good to see a boy like that these days. He got himself a trophy deer while you have yourself a...

    Arkansas/Oklahoma Fall Bear

Some people use deer corn and dog food but that just doesn't seem like a good bait to me. I really believe you need a variety of food with lots of carbs. You are competing with natural food. Believe it or not, bears prefer natural food like acorns, persimmons, plums, muscadines, etc. On a year...

    Arkansas/Oklahoma Fall Bear

I use donuts, cookies, waffle cones, sardines, candy corn, marshmallows, peanut butter, dirty fryer grease, beaver carcass. If I run short on donuts and pastries I use bread with powdered sugar and Kool aid powder on it mixed in.
