I drew a rifle tag in the 2nd draw here in ID. I was excited to say the least- this was only my 2nd rifle pronghorn tag in ID in the last 15 years. And best of all my Dad was going to be along on the hunt. Headed out last Sat morning, first place we headed into was covered by guys in side by...

    Idaho on fire

I have a friend with a late deer tag out there this year. I haven't spent alot of time in the area of the burn-but have hunted just south of where the fire started with success in the past. I am no fire expert, but I am wondering if by November the deer will be bunched up more than normal in the...

    Idaho mule deer 42

Been on a few hunts down that way over the years, some nice bucks go back and forth across Mud flat rd- north of Mud flat is unit 40, south is unit 42. A buddy shot a nice buck in 40, 4 or 5 years ago that we watched cross mud flat out of 42 after some does.

    New pup!

We are picking up a male WPG pup the middle of July. I mostly upland hunt but wanted a dog who was good in the water as well. I had a Chessy before- great hunter but he wasn't keen on our kids. Best of luck on your search.

    Leupold CDS scopes

The Leupold CDS was the first turret system I messed with. I am a fan, simple and easy to use. I handload and so after running different loads through the chrony settled on one that was the most accurate and consistent in FPS. At the suggestion of a friend added a zero stop, glad I did.

What do you do for a living?

Been in retail management for the better part of the last 10 years, no 2 days are ever the same. Though I am envious of those of you who work in the great outdoors...my scenery doesn't change a whole lot...
