It likely not just death, I assume there would come a point in life for most people where the reality of diminished physical capabilities set in. Reminds me of BigFins “you’ll run out of health before money” quote. No matter how bad they want it, there comes a point when their old legs can’t do...
I use Rangers and Pioneers at work every day and we are excessively rough on equipment. We don’t have any of the smaller stuff, all of ours are 1000. I will say in my experience on the big stuff the Honda Pioneers are less maintenance and don’t seem to be as much hassle. After 6 years I just...
I think he said you can shoot Dall sheep in TX tongue in cheek. I had to give him the benefit of a doubt at least. Surely no one on this forum could be that ignorant? But I’ve been wrong before lol.
Those “Dall sheep” in TX are tough man, about as hard as shooting one of their bison. Toughest part of the hunt though is keeping the high fence out of the background in the trophy pic!
Best of luck to you on a true wild bison, I hope you share the story!
As much as I love them, I think it’s hard for most people to get caught up in the mystique of bison because they just seem so accessible. We hunters understand wild opportunities are few and far between, but the animal itself just isn’t that far out of reach. Bison burger can be found in...
Where is Season 10 located?
@howl my main criticism of the show is how they bind them by by non survival situation rules. 2 Examples I’ve seen is having them to wait until a certain date in one season to be allowed to use gill nets and not being able to kill squirrels in another place.
In all seriousness glad you’re ok, years ago I was on volunteer fire dept and got called to the scene of a wreck with a black angus bull vs. family in a minivan. Gratefully no one was killed but several hospitalized.
Look here @Harold357, until what you do in your tent at night is affecting our public land air/water quality, wildlife populations etc. you will never convince most of us here that it has anything to do with proper natural resource management. Stop trying to convince everybody that this tail...
Here in north Louisiana I’ve had good success with channels using a product called Danny King’s punch bait. It’s a dough bait type consistency with cat tail like fibers mixed in so it stays on a small treble hook well. Mainly used it on trot lines and bank lines, not rod and reel. Shad cut bait...
I’ve never used a sleeve or wrap, but I used to have sharp pain in my knees when hiking, especially going downhill. Talked to my Dr and he prescribed a whole array of stretching. It worked wonders and fixed the root cause. I rarely have issues now, and when it flares up, I get back on stretches...
I agree, hurry up already, I have plans to make! I thought evening before last when the website was “down for scheduled maintenance” that good news must be coming soon… so much for that. I can only assume they are quadruple, checking everything to not end up in a pickle with Montana.
After a few bad gut jobs as a kid with accidental splatters in unintended places I’ve learned to keep my mouth closed pretty firmly during evisceration exercises. Never though something so simple would be a tip I would share but apparently that tiny piece of advice may be needed!
