Hey guys, I’m in SoCal, and stepped away from the offshore game awhile back. There is no comparison in price to a day or 2 for Bluefin, versus a week long hunt. It’s not even close. Looks like marketing to me.
I’m all game for good stuff. There are some good ones out there from a few, and a whole bunch of junk otherwise. I may grab a few, but I always wonder when a person supports the same operator repeatedly, without mentioning other very good options and some exceptional ones.

I’ve found I’m not a backcountry pantry fan, at all. I’ve yet to find something by them I really like. I like most Peaks, and some MH. Going to experiment with Gastro Gnome this spring.
Looking at Evanston and Laramie/Cheyenne in a few years for those exact reasons. Leaning Evanston though, and would only be seasonal (spring-fall). Winters, no thank you.
