    Fly Tying/Fishing Thread

1/80th oz microjig patterns are killer freshwater lures. I have a friend (his blog) who’s seemingly caught every fish possible on them.

    Velocity with gas checks?

I’ll pull the few I loaded and look into a slower load. Probably with 3031. Knew I was pushing it with varget.

    Velocity with gas checks?

I was given some 118 gr cast bullets with gas checks and I’m looking to load some for my .30-30. My loads I’ve put together are probably going to push them somewhere around 2200-2450 fps. Is that too fast even with gas checks? In terms of leading the barrel?

    How many of you conceal?

I carry much less after moving to a much safer area to live and work. I've carried in town on maybe two occasions in the last year. One was on a visit to a place where there was a credible communicated threat to my life/suggested witness tampering. I couldn't really avoid going and took...

Teacher Concealed Carry Law in Idaho

A few decades ago many of these individuals would have been institutionalized from a young age. The push trickling down from the federal level was to place them in their own communities to enhance their quality of life and help them exercise their rights. I would argue that was a greater net...

Teacher Concealed Carry Law in Idaho

Why does either state have to pick one or the other? Are you saying Idaho doesn’t have parallel programs? As for expanding those services, I haven’t noticed a person in this thread that has mentioned being opposed to it.

Teacher Concealed Carry Law in Idaho

In my experience its a two way street where the bullied are also bullies, and the guardians don't embrace either behavioral or environmental modification. If that makes sense.

Did he say it was federal? There are plenty things controlled at the state level that are homogenous across the country.

Teacher Concealed Carry Law in Idaho

Interesting. Seems like something hi-viz, compact, and rapidly deployable to be carried at all times could be effective.

I don’t think we have an answer to my question about a net fewer shootings yet anyway.

Teacher Concealed Carry Law in Idaho

If the net result of allowing teachers to carry is fewer incidents, does it matter if one of those incidents is perpetrated by a teacher?
