I will take a ATV/UTV/SxS down crappy rough roads all day long to save wear and tear on my pickup! This is a sound investment, granted those -15 mornings are even chillier on said vehicle. Now you can get full doors, heaters etc for many UTV/SxS's these days and at that cost, it's almost cheaper...- Speeddmn

Hollowman AFB NM...?
As an active duty Air Force guy, most of us in maintenance try to avoid all the bases in NM... None of them are very good, let him get his feet yet to the service and put in for Korea or a 365 to the sand box, then PCS to a worthwhile base! What is his AFSC (job)? I always use the heavy grade bags and double or triple seal the sides/ends. Havent had any problems with bags opening.- Speeddmn

Popup Camper for late season??
Personally I think a slide in the bed style camper would be better suited in the late hunts vs pop up style. Add a small trailer to haul the quads and you are better off.- Speeddmn

Leupold LTO tracker
I love new stuff, I also haven't even looked at this besides this post, and some facebook stuff. I haven't a clue on the cost, but I have better things to buy versus this LTO. If one was in my hands I would use it and maybe even think it's cool, but I don't need it. I understand the principal... -
Hunting on the cheap
Archery is 100% OTC in Utah, unless you want to put in for a better unit and pay more. 50 bucks for a Any bull (hunters choice tag) for archery. Hunt every unit in the state for the first 30 days. Cant get much cheaper then that...- Speeddmn

Ive used the 18 inch LEM in the past. As for a recipe, I use Hi Country blends and follow there instructions. In a nut shell, you go online, pay the 1001 bucks and you are done. You can get your base hunting license then apply for a tag in the draw units. If you just want the OTC tag, it'll be a cool grand. Hope that all makes sense.- Speeddmn

HCR is the Howa Chassis Rifle, 1-8 twist for the 6.5, the mini would be something to play with for the kids. Howa offers quite the savings over other companies with military discount. As for the RPR, I've talked to a few guys local to me that have them and after the initial 1100-1300 average... -

Long story short, Ive reduced my collection down to what I really like to shoot/need. Both my boys are getting older and I need to accommodate them with rifles also. Montana 651 deer
Not sure of 651, but I saw plenty of deer in 670 the past 12 days. Only took me around 90 mins to fill both tags. In typical fashion for me, I shoot a small 4x4 get him loaded up then see a beautiful heavy 5x5 not 500 yards away....
