White Hots are pelletizes powder. Use them in the inlines.
The Hawkens I have, both from my Grandpa, appear to be in good condition. I am going to pick up some of the real stuff to use in them.
I have a jug of Pyrodex that is no telling how old. I am just going to dispose of it.
My gramps used to call Pyrodex “Pyrocanker” lol.
I used White Hots for the last several years that I was muzzleloader hunting. Very clean compared to Pyrodex.
Swiss is real black powder, right? I don’t think I have ever used it. How is it compared to black powder substitutes as far as performance?
I am seeing Ceddite Clerinox 209 primers available. Those are new to me.
Definitely on the list. I think they make a bore plug specifically for BH209 for the Acura. May as well buy that too I guess.
I already have a couple of boxes plus a few tubes of IMR White Hots to play with as well.
Boy oh boy, I am as excited as a kid at Christmas.
Well I went a did a thing. I hauled off and bought a CVA Acura LX-R. I will now have 4 muzzleloaders.
I already have two Hawken style and an old Black Knight inline. I currently have all 3 out on the work bench tinkering. Looks like I will be rekindling the old smokepole obsession this season...
I just read this whole thing before I realized it was old.
@Hilljackoutlaw what did you end up going with?

It connects me to people from all across the country that share similar interest as me but have varying views on those issues.
It lets me build relationships with people I would never have that...
Nice review! They really are good looking trucks to boot, at least in my opinion.
How many miles have you put on it so far?
If I weren’t a Tacoma nut, the Frontier would be my easy next choice. It is just hard for me to pivot from the Tacoma when I have been watching them flat work for so...
I have desperately needed a fire before and almost didn’t get it going in time. My fire kit containing the following and kept in a quart ziploc is always in my pack:

Vaseline soaked cotton balls
Dryer lint
Wax paper
Bic mini wrapped in electrical tape
A few shards of pine kindling...
Well now, I feel like I was taken advantage of…lesson learned.
When this issue comes back up, and it obviously will, please have better talking points than people who want to use crossbows are p*****s.
My goals to begin the year were to lose 15 pounds, focus in on some strength training to go along with the cardio I have already been focused on, and also to work on my agility and balance.
Been going well so far. I have lost the 15 pounds and an staying pretty darn consistent with my...
The .30/.30 would be my choice if your dad used it.
I actually have one on the way that belonged to my great uncle and now my uncle. My uncle told me he had decided to sell it which is somewhat baffling to me, but he gave me first crack at it. I already have one that was my first deer rifle...
