    Why isn't it "Big 4"?

Book Cliffs, Little Creek/South in Utah! I've got the late dates- first year they've done this particular hunt, so lots to learn! I've got November 1 to January 31 to hunt.

    Why isn't it "Big 4"?

To be fair, you can shoot Dall sheep in Texas.. I'm with @Bluffgruff - I had lightning strike and will be roaming a little over a million acres of public to hopefully turn up a bull bison this fall- a bit different than whacking one from the ATV or truck.

Against all odds: my 2023 season

Enjoy that luck! What a fall on tap. Whether or not you turn any tags back, keep in mind if you're unsuccessful in Idaho, you can re-apply in a couple years. If you shoot one, then it goes Once In a Lifetime. Idaho folks, correct me if I'm wrong. With that in mind, hammer Colorado for that...

    Vortex Kaibab 18x56 for sale

The Kaibab's have never been used in the field. I bought them new, and about the time I got a tripod adapter for them (included), I decided I liked running 12x's and a spotter (see above). Excellent glass- would be ideal for long glassing sessions where eye fatigue on a spotter is a concern...

    Montana mule deer rant

'Bout sums it up for why we won't be seeing positive changes in the Treasure State when it comes to Mule Deer anytime soon. https://www.kbzk.com/news/montana-news/hunters-surveyed-mule-deer-hunting-one-of-the-most-important-activities-in-montana "According to the survey – 85 percent of...

    Wyoming Corner Crossing Defense Fund

Requested vs. Subpoenaed would be the difference. I can request information and be denied. But an attorney, whether representing the state or the individual, can subpoena records. I would assume that OnX received a court ordered subpoena to provide any and all OnX data pertaining to the 4...

Google Bot Data Mined Super-Fund Site

We'll love our hunts to death. Between Podcasts, magazines/subscriptions like Huntin' Fool, Forums, and Social Media, we like to treat the UL's like any other sheep hunt: the more information the better. In reality, it should be treated like any other "general" or OTC tag, in that the same...

    2022 shed thread

And here I was going to say that it appears to be a white-tail. I've seen more WTs with short eye-guards than I have Mule deer with their g3 coming off the main beam (ala white-tail) versus coming off the g2.

Alright you MT R doe killers, fess up.

    No disagreement there.

Alright you MT R doe killers, fess up.

Likely. But seeing as they only issue 100 Mule Deer B tags, and I've had a tag two of the last 3 years, it's a small assist versus being part of the problem of mowing every last one of them down. Edit: there are legitimate reasons to fill a B tag- so I realize the "part of the problem/mowing"...

Alright you MT R doe killers, fess up.

I apply for the same Mule Deer B tag each year in a R3 hunt district. I figure the years I get it, there'll be at least one more doe that I can keep on the landscape for another year. Sort of an "adopt a deer" type thing.

    Canadian Rockies help

Edith Cavell and Wilcox Pass are both fairly quick hikes that bring you to an impressive view shed in Jasper. But there's no shortage of views. Yoho National Park is a great visit, too, as are many of the Provincial parks, like Mount Robson. Enjoy the trip!
