I've used this place several time for elk and deer, they do great and very reasonable price, I have personally started taking a freezer and grinder and vaccum sealer on our hunt the last 2 years and doing it my self after a kill though -

180 gr winchester power points
I have 2140lb of energy at 500 yds with the factory winchester powerpoints. When I shot them through my chrono avg fps was 3070, on the box they say 2960 but I'm assuming my 26" barrel spits them out a little faster. I also have a brake on the gun- Jcole1993

First Time Elk Hunting Colorado Cow Elk Tips
I have hunted both units. And still currently hunt 1 of them. I ha e never left there with a tag unfilled. But lots of hunters and seems to be fewer elk every year. Find a hell hole and you'll find the elk -

300 WSM loads with 178 gr ELD-X for Elk?
Killed 2 elk last year with 212gr eld x from my 300 win mag, 1 cow at 531yds 1 shot kill through both shoulders bullet was under hide on off side perfect mushroom. Drt. Howa multi cam
I thought the same thing, just mounted a new vortex viper on it 2 weeks ago. Had a nikon monarch previously, I switched back to the nikon and I am still getting the horrible groups.
