How was the pressure there? My buddy went up by Sheridan because of the Mullen fire messed up where we normally go. He considered going to the Madres but figured it would be that much more full of hunters.- FlatlandHunter

Setting up my TC Hawken for CO?
I shot a cow elk with my Hawken 2 falls ago in Colorado. Mine liked 90gr Pyrodex P, 11 cap and 350gr Maxi hunters. I could hold a 3-4” group at 100 yards and drill the bullseye out at 50. Is it worth it?
I am dealing with the same type of issues your having and I am a little over 3 years until I can retire from a LE career. I went and saw my Doctor and had my blood checked. Barr huntin’ time again near Steamboat Springs CO
2018 I had 2 in person encounters while ML elk hunting just outside of Steamboat. CO Unit 15, first rifle.
Depending on what route your driving in if you come thru Laramie you can get supplies there and I believe my family used to pick up licenses and some hunting supplies in Walden. Good luck- FlatlandHunter
