    Hard shell pants?

I would look at the new KUIU Chagach TS that was just released. I have the old Chugach and wear it quite often. It is superlight, and waterproof and bombproof so far.

    Pants For Kodiak

I run KUIU exclusively. 5'9, 165# and normally wear a 33/30 blue jeans without belt. My KUIU pants are 34/S and i do need a belt to snug them up. Basically, the pants are standard blue jean fit. (think Levi 501's).

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

All I can say is, "Y'all do a lot of drinking up in them there parts." Wow, that's a lot of bars. I live in a tourist town (Great Smoky Mountains National Park) - Gatlingburg, TN and we don't have that many. Big thing we have are a few Honky Tonks like Blake Shelton's Ol' Red and Jimmy...

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

If this wasn't my wifes 40th BD and our 10th Anniversary, we would be hunting, not vacationing. Next year, we plan on being in Montana a lot more for hunting season since we will both have 3 PP for the General Elk/Deer draw.

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

Amazingly, I was able to book flights into Billings, MT cheaper than Bozeman on Sept 6th and was able to pick up a hotel room cheap by only being there Monday to Friday. We get in at 1 PM and don't leave until 4PM so I actually will get those days to use for "touristy" things. We are excited...

What is the best piece of advice tht you have ever been given?

My dad used to tell me all the time, "YOU make your life by ownership of YOUR actions" & "Money doesn't grow on trees, it is only gotten by hard work" Then he would tell me to go dig a ditch, wash the outside windows, or go wash the cars, etc... I always thought he was just punishing me. Only...

Straight Talk: Time to Rethink the Drinking Age

I am also a believer that if you are old enough to fight (and possibly die) in foreign wars, pay taxes, get married, vote, or otherwise have all the "privledges" of being an adult; you should be able to drink responsibly.

Good deal, my wife is originally from New Haven, CT; and I am originally from Chicago. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill in the pizza world.

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

Our dates for the trip are coming together. We intend on being in the area shortly after the big September holiday weekend. Plan is to spend a couple days in town, a couple days at YNP, and a few days exploring the surrounding areas in Montana. If we happen to stumble into a herd of elk (other...

    Blackhorn 209 in stock

I know a place in eastern TN (Knoxville) that has 5 bottles for sale. They also have 777 and a couple other brands. They have a full line of sabots and other projectiles. Sportsman's Choice Archery shop. There is no online shop/presence. Owner's name is H.A. Larue. I do not think they will/can...

THAT is a GREAT IDEA! We do this all teh time with our local elk. Dinner with the critters is always an enjoyable time.

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

Thanks for the heads up. With us having the Great Smoky Mountain NP in our backyard, we are very aware of the holiday/elk rut backups. We have two lanes through the park system and if "smoky the bear" or "rutty bull elk" is within eyeshot, traffic can be at a standstill for hours for the...

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

There appears to be a lot going on in the Bozeman Area. Thank you all for the input on food (it is the hardest to lock down). Day trips are always fun and finding new and interesting things to do make the trip enjoyable. If anybody has a "cool thing" to do within 3 hours of BZN we are going to...

    Bozeman September Trip (non-hunting/vacation)

Thanks for the idea. Almost forgot YNP is so close. Didn't even have that on the radar. Bison, geisers, and big waterfalls would be neat to see. I can definitely see a day-trip for this.
