I'm not as familiar with the modern Canon line (I have a 7D which was really great for the era, but technology has improved a lot since then). Any of the recent mirrorless cameras from the big players (Sony, Canon, Nikon) should be reasonable choices. They all should have snappy autofocus, face...
A few considerations:
Are you sure you want something with interchangeable lenses?
Do you have any specific uses? (Family portraits, trophy pics, wildlife photos?)
Do you have strong thoughts on mirrorless vs DSLR?
Do you have any family/friends already on a system who would let you borrow...
My Christmas list this year included electronic ear muffs. I've used them several times already and am incredibly happy. The ability to hear things going on around you while not needing to wrangle ear protection when something appears has been a game-changer.
I was 100% joking with the article. Unless you work for Nat Geo or similar, you probably will never even see one of those in person.
Getting zoomed in with exchangeable lens cameras gets expensive very quickly.
I have a Kastking Centron that I got mostly because the price was right and because the reviews on Amazon were good. It seems about what I'd expect from a $25 reel. It still works but I only used it a few times before I decided to get one I actually want to use (a Daiwa BG - not the same price...
A lot of the restaurants around here have made good efforts to accommodate the new rules and consumer habits. The good ones have brought up online ordering with curbside pickup, delivery options through a variety of gig apps, and outdoor dining when possible.
That said, consumer behavior has...
There are a decent number of options out there. I'd go for a bridge camera with good zoom (note that no matter the camera, you'll need a tripod or something to get decent shots at full zoom.
In no particular order, the ones that seem to be most recommended nowadays:
Nikon P950 ($800, 2000mm...
Phone + phone skope is a good option if you are already carrying a spotter.
I have a Nikon P510 that is very good for carrying in the field and getting occasional widlife photos. This is a few years old now, but there are others that provide similar zoom capabilities with updated camera innards.
Today was supposed to be the first day of my OR elk hunt with my dad. Due to C-19 concerns (as well as a snafu with film permits) we decided it was best to be safe this year.
I'm geared up for my first Oregon duck hunt though. I'm still taking the next week off work so I'm planning to go a few...
Tillamook Mudslide is the pinnacle of ice cream technology.
We'll have to work on the promo code deal over Thanksgiving when he's out here for the elk hunt. Might have to take a day off to go crabbing and get the ice cream right at the creamery.
I haven't looked recently, but it wasn't that long ago that AWS basically was the only money maker for Amazon. The rest of the company was either break-even or was actually being supported by AWS profits.
One thing we can do when shopping at Amazon is set up Amazon Smile to support a...
The first season of On Your Own Adventures, the production company had a whole binder of shots that they wanted and we tried to have something resembling a script. The "script" conveniently got "lost" before the end of the first day of the hunt.
Pretty much everything you see is off-script.
You'll have to "allocate" a lot more of it to medical bills if you damage your back trying to backpack out half an elk in one trip. I'm willing to bet the llamas are closer to cost-neutral that you might think.
I think the answer will really depend on the specific company you work for (and your manager, and their manager).
It costs companies a lot of money to lose good employees. Many times they'd rather keep a good employee in a different role than lose them altogether. They may not be super happy...
