    elkchasr, That is a big coyote around here,not average by any imagination.It weighed over 50lbs.Our average weight on winter yotes is probably around 30-35lbs.we take a few each year over 40lbs.Over 50 is a real big yote !!! Biggest I have seen around here(seen,not estimated like the bears !!!)...

    The ONLY way to tell a bears actual weight is to put it on a certified scale.I dont mean weighing the head and hide and then guesstimating the actual weight either.I occasionally have to do that and if I do I always say I guess the weight at ..... I am one of the few guys that I know of that...
