That's an apples to oranges argument. I don't think southern and eastern hunters have the same hostility toward NR hunters. Lots of deer, lots of opportunity. Nobody is going hungry.
You are totally missing the point. Maybe, you don't want to see it.
When NR's fund over 75% of the G&F budget for your state, that makes you welfare recipient. Personally, I was a resident, and loved the outdoors and everything Wyoming had to offer, I'd feel like a deadbeat. If you continually...
I have no doubt 90/10 will be in place for all big game species in the next few years. What concerns me is what happens after that. Outfitters will certainly cry foul. Look no further than the chit show going on in Montana this year. Money and influence generally prevail. In reality, I think...
No, not lazy at all. I just knew the guys pushing hardest for 90/10 would have that info in hand. I’ll be interested to see what increase will be adopted.
So, what are the hard numbers? Going to 90/10 for the big 5, what is the monetary shortfall after eliminating those NR tags? What is the TF plan for covering that loss?
Not a chance. They want as much money as they can squeeze out of NR's, while giving as little as possible.
Its a typical welfare attitude. " Why should I pay more, when we can make NR's fund our programs."
I think a lot of eastern and southern hunters look at the western states and shake their head in disbelief. It’s likely the residents of western states are so close to the issue, they don’t recognize the welfare system their state and G&F operate under. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed.
No offense taken. I just really question Buzz and his motivation for posting this thread. Its no secret that He and others were bent when 90/10 wasn't passed awhile back. I'm quite certain he's enjoying the opportunity to needle NR's.
Oh good grief! Go ahead and move already. What is it you hate the worst about living in Wyoming? Is it high property taxes? Is it is the lack of a state income tax? Being surrounded by wildlife and outdoor activities? Have you ever been to Minnesota, northern Wisconsin or the Dakotas in the...
The odds are slim, but I’ll be in again this year. I’ve been applying since the first year. The way the system is set up, my name should go in the hat about 15 times now.
I’ve been shooting the Federal TSS #9’s out a my savage 410. It’s pretty incredible. At 30 yards it throws all of those tiny pellets into a circle the size of a basketball. I added a Vortex Crossfire red dot to it. It crushes gobblers at reasonable ranges, and at a touch over 5 pounds is a joy...
