Awesome dogs!! I had an incredible Boykin when I was growing up. The-best-retriever-ever, flushed ground birds in range, coursed deer and turkeys back to me and would find wounded deer. Suggestions for a quail gun?
I love my beretta semi auto (in above freezing temperatures) and my benelli semi auto (cycles dirty in subzero temps) for doves, waterfowl and turkey but for fast flushing birds like quail a fast swinging double barreled 20 or 28 ga is where it’s at. Guide recommendations for MT spring bear (not full blown outfitter hunt)?
Like lion chaser said guided hunts in MT can only take place through a licensed outfitter. If you are searching for an outfitter on a $4000-or-less budget and hunting on public land you are likely to get ripped off-glorified pickup truck ride at best.
