    2014 Alaska Moose

Hey CG, I feel bad for you. You seem to be a real stand up dude and a very good hunter as I see it. I cannot even imagine the range of emotions you had to have felt. From early disappointment to elated when you and your good friend managed an incredible DIY moose hunt. All that to be taken...

    Where for Whitetail?

And if you want you can extend that eastward into Illinois, Indian and Ohio. Hoosier National Forest has 203K Acres that you can spot and stalk all you want. Not very expensive but definitely a long drive for ya. Though it has its benefits,I don't necessarily like tree stand hunting either...

Wow! You have harvested some very nice animals I'm impressed. I am sure you will become an asset to the forum. I just joined myself and I am glad I did. Seems like a lot of really nice people here from all over.

    The evolution of Hunttalk ???

Being a new member myself I certainly do not want to offend anyone or come off as cocky. I would never invite myself over to even a very close friend's house to eat dinner and I think asking for a specific place to hunt is sort of like doing just that. Having said that, my friend and I started...

That's cool! Btw, I live about 15 mins from Piqua.... a little town outside of Troy called Pleasant Hill. Wasn't raised there though that happened in another small town in Central Indiana called Pickard (It is on the map but that's about it).

Ready to pack out an elk?

Kind of torn on that question. It certainly isn't the part of the hunt that I look forward to the most, but then again it means a successful hunt so ..... I'm in! My office is on the sixth floor of the building, I have been taking the stairs since April when I applied (111 vertical steps...

    Help with eastern whitetails

Stay Clear A lot of good advice. We stay clear of bedding areas until late season and then are very careful about hunting them. We call ours "The Sanctuary". We want deer to feel comfortable using it. I agree with others as far as it is good to find connecting fence rows or creeks and ridges...

I can see already I am going to enjoy the site. What a warm welcome! Not sure why I come up with Jr. Samples it just kind of came to me. I am glad you all like it. Btw, I was reading an old post yesterday about "worst camp meals" and I haven't laughed so hard in years. Good story tellers on...

    Deer - lets see em

2013 Whitetail Archery Cant claim this one, but I can give a big high five to my friend and hunting partner. Killed on the last day of the 2013 Indiana archery season and I had to share it with you. My friend is too modest (busy actually) to do it himself.

Greetings! Just wanted to say hi from Ohio. Been reading a lot of posts on the forum and I have to say I have enjoyed them. Hope to meet some new friends and share experiences. My friends (3) and I drew a 1st rifle antlerless elk tag in Colorado for this coming season. It is not our first...
