    What type of hunting knife?

    Fixed blade is the best for me.Used and own almost everything. Havalon and the likes ,have their uses. Not for caping,jmo. I have seeing guys try it and felt sorry for the taxidermist. A fixed blade with a hook is a must,for caping fixed ,no hook and shorter blade. No Rambo knives please.

    Do it smooth finish,fill and sand everything. Do NOT use oil paint or oil primers. You will have the same problem,oil doesn't breath. But first of all ....get a good fan, adequate for the size of the room. Green boards or blue ,is just wasting money and effort. Good luck....from an expert.
