Uncle Larry - The Final Act?

Randy, my wife and I have watched you and always looked forward to the next Uncle Larry hunt. Loved it when he shot the "wrong" elk and when he got scoped in one of your earlier seasons. Maybe he can be the camp cook/comedian.

Career advice needed. Starting a job hunt under the radar

I've been on both sides of this fence. I will tell you as an employee, I was contacted by a headhunter and was given a written offer that was almost double my salary at that time. Problem was, it was also our youngest daughters last year of high school and the job requirement required me to be...

    Should Have Bought A Tundra

I work for a very large mechanical contractor in the Southeast. Our service trucks have always been 2500/3500 or 250/350's. These trucks are put through the ringer and most easily exceed 300,000 miles and are then sold off. Welders are tough on their equipment and this speaks volumes to their...

Have you ever NOT felt like hunting?

I know I've been battling an ongoing lawsuit at work for over 8 years. Some days suck just coming in to the office and others are even worse when we have court dates or depositions. I've been through the divorce thing before and I got my son out of it and did the best I could. Ironically enough...

    HELP! Hunt Plan Indecision

I like option 2 as well. The higher the better if the weather allows it. I would be worried about the thick part either as it will provide cover for the animals

A Poor Elk Hunter With A Good Elk Tag

What an outstanding read and I followed along. Elk at that range, bull or cow is unbelievable. What a memory and I would have loved to watch you heave that big old boy in to your truck. Good for you to get your dad out there as well.

    NM unit 12 Bull Elk

WRO you are a better man than me. If I felt that a weapon was being drawn upon me and my wife then someone is getting shot. I am all for defusing a situation but there is a line you do not cross and pulling a gun on me is one that would be hard for me to look away from. I hunt with my wife and...

    Women are tough

I hunt with my wife every year. She doesn't complain, never backs out on me or leaves me hanging. Take her alligator hunting in the swamps of Florida and elk hunting out west. Plus, we have lots of toys now that the kids are grown :sneaky:

    Idaho 2019 (Re)cap

Please keep a journal and you will discover that you did not need a good bit of the things you packed. Do not wait until next year to recall, do it while it is fresh in your mind and eyes view. We cut our load down extensively after our first year. We really over packed on food items more than...
