What profession are you? I still wouldn't say that you represent that profession and I'm sure that profession wouldn't want to be represented by you. It's a rhetorical question. No need to answer.
14 x 6 ft pvc liner, going to put in in a hole I made digging fill dirt for a recent project. Hopefully 600 ft hose will reach for now. This will be a new water source out there, the only one for quite a ways and it'll be fenced off from all stock.
Just like many other professions or organizations, groups, ect. that an individual may belong to or work within, when that person fuggs up or is an ass the blame gets put to the larger org or group. It's all nonsense, everyone is capable of being an asshole on thier own without representing...
Yup that'll suck, I've thought about it a lot. Back in the days of landlines it was pretty much you talked to someone while they were home or left a message. If your out your out, you'll talk later. If it was really important youd send some mail. Now we have a phone/computer/Email in our...
Thats pretty much just for solo adventures and when doing risky chit, it'll be a damn shame when we all can't go somewhere with no service or people just know that there is service everywhere so it'll be unacceptable to just fug off.
Before kids I didn't really give it much thought. Now that I have 3 little ones it is a huge peice of mind to just know that all is good. There's usually at least once a day up on ridge or high enough elevation that my phone will buzz and we'll message quick just checking in letting each other...
A whole lot needs to change, as far as root causes I'm sure there are plenty. One that I can see is that high schools are rated not just by graduates but by how many students go on to further education. Knowing this the high schools really focus on that route as it's not beneficial for them or...
I think there are soo many jobs out there that they could never make courses for. You would never do these things if it wasn't for this one job you've never heard of until you started doing it. At that point just having good work ethic, being a fast learner, and having common sense is about all...
Although there are a few positions/Labor categories in my company that do require a degree, many of the positions have the or x years of experience in the field. I'll say that in my time as a manager and the hires I've made and coworkers I've seen, the experience matters way more than the...
How do you give 17/18 year old kids a reality check as they're about to graduate, after they spent the last 12 years being told they can be anything they want to be? In reality you need to find something you can make money doing while trying to balance that with work you don't hate. Edit: the...
Just had a 19x54 ft slab poured. Took 4 guys and 2 gnarly machines( had the whole crew on thier time off) from pour until they were done was about 3.5-4 hrs and it was a race, almost getting too dry before the finish. It was pretty amazing.
I learned a lot watching the guys that just did my house lol. I'm sure it could be done just depends on the size of the slab. At a certain point you will need enough people that know what thier doing to finish it before it dries. If it's not too big I'm sure yall could get it done. If you have...
Tell him to find out one of the employees number and ask about a side job. Some bosses will let thier employees use equipment on weekends. Worth an ask. Sorry total derail,
