I don't shed hunt so I'm biased but I think shed hunters do a disproportionate impact to animals during one of their most critical times of year for survival.
unlike trail hikers, dog walkers, mountain bikers, bird watchers, shed hunters go places (where elk and deer actually are or just were)...
as a NR that applies via the special draw only anyways, on the surface I like the idea of more allocated tags to the special vs regular. clearly this is a very shortsighted view point though
don't they need to be with you though on the hunt? similar to an Alaskan resident needs to be with you on an Alaskan sheep hunt or a a WY resident needs to be with you on a WY wilderness hunt?

I am interested in muzzleloader hunting for elk but don't know which gun to get. Any recommendations under $1500?
Additionally it seems like some states like CO outlaw the use of breach action muzzleloaders so preferably not a breach action recommendation
