Bears Idaho Unit 49
Coming up outa Nevada. I'm looking into a spot and stalk hunt last week in May. Area 49 probably east of Hwy75 between Hailey and Ketchum. Any thoughts? Tips? Possible bear numbers? Should I plan on having a wolf tag too?- NV_ARCH3R

Nevada Bear?
Thinking about trying for a 2016 Nevada bear. If anyone has any information or recommendations they would like to pass along I'd be grateful. I'm located in Spring Creek, so a scouting trip wouldn't be out of the question, but probably only one short one.- NV_ARCH3R

Montana Spring Bear Questions?
I think my initial post disappeared. I Hunted I think Montana 316 near Wise river for spring bear in 2015, I stumbled across a smaller bear and brought him home, but I'm thinking about a return trip for a bigger specimen. What should I buy next?
Sounds to me other than game bags and maybe a pack frame to get the meat out you have what you need to go hunting. Arizona Javelina
Yea, spottin them is the hardest part. Kinda like spot and stalking jackrabbits in tall sagebrush. Once spotted usually not to hard to get in on em, But don't let anyone tell you they can't see past a 100 yds. may not be as sharp as deer etc. but they will catch movement.- NV_ARCH3R

Rangefinder improvement idea
I carry a range finder at all times when hunting, though I rarely seem to have the opportunity to actually use it. When I do it's sometimes really hard to locate the animal in the small field of view. Why not replace the optics with a camera with zoom like in a cell phone. That way you could... -

Where for Whitetail?
I'm used to more open country, spot and stalk, or still hunting through open timber, not sure I could do the tree stand thing. Looking for maybe an OTC tag or draw with good odds. I would like to shoot a whitetail but I'm not going to apply for years to get one.
