She’s shoots and brings the ass to back it up. That particular load is a 165 gr at 2875 fps. If I had the opportunity, I’d buy another- Four22

I have that model in 30-06. It’s an absolute tack driver. She’s heavy to hunt with but with good glass, it’s deadly. I think mine comes in around 10.5#- Four22

Did you shoot your first deer with open sights?
9 point white tail. Second year of hunting. I missed 2 my first year of hunting so spent the summer snap shooting pop cans with my red Ryder. I didn’t miss the next year. 1 shot, 12 ga Remington slugs. Good thing I hit him because the shot blew the front sight off my New England Firearms...- Four22

Name that cartridge!
I found it interesting that the head stamp has the -60 on it. It’s a cool piece for sure. Looks like a .22 hornet stretched WAY out or a 40-70 sharps straight that went through the dryer. I’ve never seen a rifle chambered in it but it was offered in the Stevens 44 at one time in history.- Four22
