Sorry for your loss.
My FIL nearly died from it a few years back, after the vax was available. Had the family making end of life preparations and everything. My wife and I tried to persuade them, but but my in-laws refused to get vaccinated.
My wife and I didn’t even know until he started...
It’s going around again. Just had a gig cancelled tonight because our singer caught it.
I found this out after being in a small rehearsal space with her, and the rest of the band, last night 🙄. So…we’ll see if it gets me or not. Either way, I’m out about $80 of lost gig money, plus the free...
Sure can, I’m just saying that one of best things folks can do is help keep people out of otherwise undeveloped habitat.
Here in Eugene the city passed a zoning reform a year or two ago where now there are no single-family-only zonings. Land /home owners can build additional dwellings in their...
If your land is in city limits, that could be a good thing. We need more housing, but also need to combat urban sprawl. Seeing wildlife in town is cool and all, but I’d rather see less houses perforating natural areas.
I love the idea of straight pull actions. I hate that no one seems to consider making an ambidextrous design, icing us lefties out.
No, I haven’t seen one of these in person yet.
I was in the army, so no first hand experience, but from what I’ve heard the Marines are the most ridiculous branch.
I worked in a veteran center for about 2 years during college after getting out, and the things I’d heard from the marines about the usmc were so ass-backwards. As an example...
Been sitting around 100 for a few days here. Saw a hen turkey with 2 poults hanging out in the shade yesterday. It does worry me that they won’t survive the heat, especially because people kept trying to get close to them this making them move more than they wanted to.
I’ve wondered about salted peanuts. I don’t imagine it’s economical to do large scale like you’re talking, but they’d have plenty of salt & protein so I’d think might do pretty good to attract deer into the area.
Usually by hiding what they’re actually interested in by mixing in a lot of varied, redundant but seemingly unrelated, questions.
If you cut straight to the chase and ask do you own a gun and have a small 🐓, no one is going to answer that very honestly. So you hide those more “private”...
Great story for sure! I doubt I would have stuck it out. I’m a big baby when I don’t feel well and lose the motivation to do most anything pretty quickly.
I pay $8 per application. Doesn’t feel unfairly high. The real cost is the time, as I’m going to have to be banking these points for a decade or more before I’ll actually draw.
I gave my deer carcass to a friend who buried it in their garden beds.
I tried buring a femur in my one little planter box. My dog dug it up in short order, so that’s not gonna work for me.
I made tag schnitzel with my spring turkey tag. Dredge in egg, coat in flour, dredge again, coat in bread crumbs, then fry in oil until golden brown.
Nice part is it didn’t take a lot of oil, since it’s such a thin cut and all.
Kind of ties in, really. Weimer/Glockster sounds like exactly the sort Bannon’s hoping to mobilize.
To quote him from this article:
And remember, our audience is virtually all activists. So even though it may not be the biggest, it doesn’t have to be. It’s the people that are out there in the...
