Closest range to me is only open Thursday-Sunday, 10am-4pm. Theres no getting there early and having it to myself. At least it’s a staffed range, though, and they’re good about calling out safety violations. They provide the targets, too, which is cool. $15/visit kinda hurts, though.
Given the setting, my mind probably wouldn’t have gone straight to possible active shooter. Rather, they’re probably looking to sell. Given how clueless he sounds, you probably could have scored a good deal if you offered to buy it before they went inside.
…That, or they think their used gun...
I haven’t done it in years, but I oughta. There used to be (pre-covid) a free yoga class for veterans at the community center in town.
I always liked the mental clarity that came afterwards, but damn did it suck while doing it.
I have no use for one, nor interest in trying it out. I just don’t think they’re all that annoying and it seems as low impact of an activity as it gets.
But as I stated in my first post, the rules say you can’t so you can’t. Not something I care enough about to write my senators over.
Inconvenient, yes, but it’s no more harmful than people going there now. It’s public land, all those new people coming to it would also have a right to go there.
If it got busy enough, they’d implement a permit system to keep down the amount of visitors at any one time.
Why stop there? Might as well go to absolutely no humans.
A drone that touches nothing is doing less harm to the habitat than a hiker’s footsteps. Certainly less than a hunter who’s going off the trails, trampling through the underbrush. If a drone that touches nothing is still too much...
So there’s the rules that say you can’t, therefore you can’t…but putting that aside, what is the actual harm of people flying drones in a wilderness area?
I’m thinking as a hypothetical situation where the pilot didn’t lose or leave their drone, merely flew it around then left and the only...
Thanks for clarifying. The OP read to me like a call to action for help lifting what he’s written, after not being successful through pressuring him directly. As we haven’t gotten any indication from the man himself that he’s ok with this, it sounded a lot like plagiarism, especially if the...
But does Randy want to write a book? That’s the only thing that matters here.
Randy (and many others) have lots of cool stories, but that doesn’t entitle us to their hours of labor to put those stories in print.
Is this an offer to be a pro-bono ghost writer?
If be pissed if I’d paid for that guide service. I paid for a hunt, not a show up & shoot on a pre-treed cat.
Getting an animal isn't as important as the journey to get there.
Nice! Most of the Himalayan blackberries around here are still green yet, but going out berry picking/grouse hunting in early September is one of my favorite times of the year.
