I have no idea why he posted that picture of the huge whitetail that is obviously pen raised with a tag in it's ear. The buck we're talking about is a big, ugly NT mule deer buck in velvet that the guy took with a bow and it's alleged it was taken right in CO John!
Very simple man! There aren't enough Utah citizens that even know about the corruption to actually tackle it. If there were, the EXPO wouldn't have the thousands of people that go there every year and spend their hard earned money that the organization needs to stay in existence. On top of...
Each to his own regarding that youtube video, but I know what has been happening out in Utah with SFW and the way they run the DWR and state all the way to the Governor's Office. He failed to mention that the initial RMEF bid was the only one submitted and they did it in the last hour of the...
I listened to half of that youtube version and turned it off because it was very obvious the guy doesn't know anywhere near enough about the boondoggle bidding and collusion between SFW and the DWR to even be discussing it! Cripes, he mentioned the EXPO has 100 tags when it's 200 total, as well...
That year there were so many everywhere out there that Stevie Wonder could have killed 50 in 15 or 20 minutes. Since then they went down in numbers to the point that wherever we went last year we hardly saw any.
A little off is one thing, but the account I read stated they were at least 1/4 mile inside the Park boundary! That kind of distance should never happen if you're carrying a GPS!
hossblur---Are you not aware that outfitters are controlled by the Feds and held to given territories that they have to stay within to run their business, as well as by licensing fees to outfit in that particular area? Under that territory structure they certainly aren't given as any animals as...
That is not what I said! I said they are all over the west, but that doesn't mean they are all a problem. However, when you see them in huge herds in some areas it's a problem because of the damage they do.
The Hornady SST is not the bullet to use on those big animals and what you stated about hitting bone is why. Move up to at least their Interlock for big bodied deer and their Interbond for elk and you won't be sorry with their accuracy or terminal performance.
That's the biggie out on the net right now doing it, but there are also individuals actually selling packages with an individual animal's pictures, GPS location, etc. and the price of the package depends on the size of the animal. I won't name the other website and it's owner, but there are...
Listen to Horse. I don't even mess with the draw here in MI every year for April tags. I just buy our guaranteed OTC 234 tag that's good almost the entire month of May and the Toms are still more than willing to get shot!
No argument at all on your post and I give you kudos that you were smart when you called to get the poop on it, including being given the other reasons the law was enacted since it's that agency authorized to enforce the law. I've actually seen a few other spots like you C/Pd that look similar...
You got that right! I will never "let it go" when comments like that come up because the law is spelled out in black and white right in a state statute posted on these forums. If someone knowingly violates it, then they're on their own. It's those newbies just going out west on a first trip...
Party hunting for deer is a big thing in Iowa and as long as there are unfilled tags anyone can shoot as many as they want as long as someone's tag is put on the animal. I have never agreed with that being legal a accidents IMHO greatly increase the more people that are banging away in various...
