I listened to half of that youtube version and turned it off because it was very obvious the guy doesn't know anywhere near enough about the boondoggle bidding and collusion between SFW and the DWR to even be discussing it! 308 Bullet Selection (factory loads)
The Hornady SST is not the bullet to use on those big animals and what you stated about hitting bone is why. Move up to at least their Interlock for big bodied deer and their Interbond for elk and you won't be sorry with their accuracy or terminal performance.- Topgun 30-06

You got that right! I will never "let it go" when comments like that come up because the law is spelled out in black and white right in a state statute posted on these forums. Party hunting for deer is a big thing in Iowa and as long as there are unfilled tags anyone can shoot as many as they want as long as someone's tag is put on the animal.
