I have one and got the same deal! I have not used it yet. It's a little big for day hunts. I may buy the hybrid x in June when it comes out. It's smaller and still carries meat the same way as the larger commander x . I may even get a mystery ranch pintler before I go this fall. blacksheep- blacksheep

I am going elk/muley hunt in Colorado 2nd season. Should I bring my tree stand with me? We are hiking in every day so I would not be packing it in with all of my gear. blacksheep- blacksheep

New Mystery Ranch packs
I have a Alps Outdoorz Commander X and frame, but it is just too big for day trips It's a 66L pack and weighs around 9 lbs. The pintler looks to be a good sized pack for day use. blacksheep- blacksheep

Upgrading from my Leupold VX-2 to another Leupold with CDS and can't decide which one
I just bought a VX-5HD 3-15x44 with firedot duplex and CDS. Well worth the money. Contact Schmalts. I bought one from another source just days before he PM'd me when he got another batch in. I paid $2 more that he charges. blacksheep- blacksheep

BrentD I have passed on several whitetail, not because of a shot, because they were not what I was looking for. Most times I watch them for a while through the scope to get a good look at them. I have a 20g rifled barrel,.243,7mm-08, 7mm mag and 300 win mag barrels. My 243 and 7mm-08 shoot sub moa easy, my 20g shoots 2" groups at 100 yds and i have not shot the 7mm or 300 yet. I feel that having just 1 shot has made me a better hunter. I have become more patient and tend to look for my shot. I shot a young 5 point buck this fall at 150 yds off hand with my encore in 20g.
