I am looking for a Tikka T3x roughtech stock. Tan or black for my project 300 win mag. If anyone has one lying around and would like to part with it, let me know.
Thanks

A couple of years ago my local Cabelas in Hazelwood Missouri had several racks of old production Weatherbys. I mean like 50+ rifles. All of them were topped with steel Redfield, Luepold or Bushnell scopes. The rifles were of every Weatherby caliber that you could think of. They were some...
This happened to a friend of mine. He was shooting reloads and the wad from the previous round stuck where the choke threads into the barrel and the next shot made a bulge just like the picture showed. He was shooting a Remington 11-87.

I had a custom upper built in 6.8 spc with a 18" stainless Shilen ultramatch barrel. Its a tack driver. The 6.8 is a great deer round, but I use it for coyotes. No recoil and has plenty of knock down power. Great little round.

I carry a full size M&P 45. I carry it in a kydex chest holster. Ammo is 230g JHP Federal hydra-shok. Should be good for about everything that I need to worry about.

My Remington 700 loves the 162gr Hornady Precision Hunters. I killed my 1st elk last year with them. He didn't go 10 feet. My shot was 315yds. 2 fast shots and it was over.

I had a Remington 700 built last year. I sourced parts for a year or so and had my gunsmith put it all together for me. I used a Douglas barrel in their magnum sporter profile. It is .700 at the muzzle. It was fluted and threaded by LRI. It shoots 1/2 to 3/4 MOA all day. Great barrel. Awesome...
I carry a custom 700 in 7mm mag and I love it. If you can find them. I use Hornady Precision Hunters with the 162gr E-LDX bullets. Super accurate and great stopping power.

I carried a Encore for years. Elk hunting I used a 300 win mag and a 7mm rem mag. For deer I used my 7mm-08 barrel. All of these barrels shoot at least MOA, the magnum calibers had muzzle brakes on them. The heavy barrels of the magnum rounds made the rifles heavy. I have a custom Remington 700...
I have a Savage 220 and it shoots great. I replaced the stock with a coffee laminate from Boyd's, bedded it and topped it with a Leupold Ultimate Slam 3-9. It shoots great. I have shot Hornady SST's through it and it shoots great. I also have a TC ProHunter and it tends to shoot a little better...
I have both. I like the 7mm better less recoil and you can shoot as light as 100gr for light skinned animals like deer or antelope or up to 175 for elk or moose. I like the versatility of the round myself. I killed my first bull last fall with my 7mm @ 315 yds with 162gr Hornady Precision...
I have a 7mm-08 and its a real shooter. It is a deer slayer. Great round. I have shot encores for 20 years or so. I'm a fan and they have never let me down. I have never had a barrel that would not shoot. Most of the were at least MOA or better. I have several barrels and I am always looking for...
