I have some cheapos I bought at Costco, twist style and they hold up fine. I probably don't put a lot of strain on them as I'm not a big dude and don't use them for constructing my shelter or anything so they're mostly for stabilizing me on downhills.
Glad to hear things are going well. I know my other SE friends are enjoying less travel for at least a bit. I think this will change the game for a while at least.
Thanks for sharing. As a grandpa myself and the first hunter (still a newbie) I can only hope my grandkids telling stories like these of me when I'm gone.
I didn't read the post on the other thread @Panda Bear, I read this one. By itself it seemed to me just another political rant about race, out of context.
Perhaps when commenting on a post we should do it... (wait for it)... ON THAT POST!?:p;)
NO! If your meat needs basting and dipping in sugary mess then you've done something wrong. Low and slow on the Traeger with a light coating of good rub and cook it right... the meat speaks for itself.
Reducing calories is a great way to be hungry but not a great way to lose weight or keep weight off.

It's Tillamook State Forest, in Oregon. ODFW units 12 and 14 along the coast range.

One strategy I was thinking of is to try to figure out where the...
I just finished watching @Big Fin's YouTube series on E-scouting and went to apply some of that knowledge to the unit I plan to hunt for elk this year and well... lots of the ideas don't seem like they'll pan out.
Here's the unit: https://huntsmarter.app.link/d5hlteHcl7 <-- (Doesn't work due to...
