Get on the phone ASAP with your transporter to lock in dates, as you can imagine their phones start ringing off the hook and there’s only so many good transporters available. Kodiak Mtn Goat
Well things just took another turn for the exciting! My brother and I drew limited entry goat tags for DG474 - Uganik. Back to the drawing board on the planning side! Not sure how Alaskas draw works but they list the odds of drawing around 8% I believe. First "hard" to draw tag I've ever drawn.- wtrfwlhunter

Black Bear Tags
Don’t have the hunt regulations/supplemental in front of me. But are there not any registration hunts for black bears in Southeast? There must registration black bear hunts in other parts of the state if you’re trying to hunt bear in AK.- wtrfwlhunter

Utah closes shed antler hunting until May 1st
If I were in charge shed hunting would be closed everywhere until April 15. Easy to close area WMAs, game ranges, critical range, etc entirely to access. Yes a total closure would be difficult to enforce for the real dirtbags, but so is poaching. Eventually you’d get them. Glad to hear...- wtrfwlhunter

I think closing it to just shed hunting is reactionary to the focused intent and magnitude of the amount of people who flood the winter ranges purely for shed hunting. Should they close it to everyone, probably. But I’m guessing in most areas shed hunters are the biggest problem hence the...- wtrfwlhunter

New bow sight for next year
Interesting. That being said I wonder if I could go 30-40-50 and shoot 0 to 30 on my top pin. Might have to play with that. I've been shooting at 60 lbs and recall from shooting this summer and fall that there was a somewhat noticeable difference shooting my 20 yd pin at 30 yds, but I might...- wtrfwlhunter

Haha, I’m not discourage at all. For guys who shoot archery a ton it sounds like the way to go. To be honest I purposely haven’t gone deep into the archery gear side of things, my attitude has been to keep it as simple as possible. It’s worked out so far, been fun, and has been affordable as well.- wtrfwlhunter

Probably just gonna stick with what I have. Lol. Sounds pretty versatile being able to move pins, probably not for me considering my relatively limited range since I don’t shoot long range for fun. Probably just going to get a standard 4 banger and be on my way.- wtrfwlhunter

Best bino harness and why
Totally just my opinion, I have the FHF with the range finder attachment. It works, but I hate the latch attachment for the rangefinder pouch, just does not feel secure to me. Also the buckles to strap the whole harness want to slide off the strap, in fact one of them came off completely last...- wtrfwlhunter

Agreed, I don’t have any plans to. Just Had multiple situations where I came very close to letting an an arrow fly at elk between 40-50, want to be as prepared as possible next time.- wtrfwlhunter

Anybody have suggestions for what sight I should put on my bow? I picked up archery hunting last year and had a tru-glow three pin sight set at 20-30-40. Northwest colorado
Been a cold one so far. MT had the same -40 to -50 about a month ago and then this week a few days -25 this last week. I think elk will be fine for the most part, I’m always wondering what’s happening with the Mule Deer and Antelope, though. I’m really kind of worried for the upland birds...- wtrfwlhunter
